On September 25, 2001 the Regional Transportation District (RTD) entered into a consent decree with the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition (CCDC). The plaintiffs (CCDC) initiated legal action against RTD due to alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Allegations included not calling out of transfer points, refusal to accommodate individuals with disabilities, and operators indicating problems with lift equipment when in fact there wasn’t.
