Sir;
I applied for service on April 4th of this year and was to receive paratransit service within 21 days of my application.
I called to make a reservation on MATAplus May 30th because according to the rider’s guide I would be granted temporary eligibility. I was denied.
I recently received a letter of approval dated 5/31/01. I am an eligible rider; I completed the application in full. Your administrative inability to process my application in the required time is not only managerial incompetence but is also illegal discrimination.
I do not care to hear MATA’s excuses, but I demand to know what MATA will do to correct this violation of citizens’ civil rights and how you will guarantee that I will not be refused service by MATA in the future.
